MAPUSA: Anjuna Gymkhana breezed into the next round of the Calangute Panchayat Cup organised by Calangute Association, after a resounding 4-1 win over Sangolda Lightning at Poriat grounds on Friday.

The match was decided through a tie-breaker wherein Anjuna scored through Vinayak Korgaocar, Lino Pereira, Soma Korgaokar and Stanley Sequeira while only Washington Pereira was on target for Sangolda. Earlier in the match, it was Sangolda who exerted more pressure but Anjuna keeper Danny D’Souza managed to keep away Washington Pereira and Alex Alvares attempts at goal.
