PANAJI: Ambelim Sports Club will take on defending champions Navelim Village Union in the finals of second edition of Odxel Cup inter-village football tournament played at Dr Alvares Remego Pinto ground, Taleigao.

In the first semis, Ambelim defeated Saligao United 2-1 riding on a Salvino Pinto brace. Saligao’s only goal came off the boots of Martinho Fernandes. Holders Navelim thrashed hosts Odxel Sports Club 5-0 in the other semi-final. A brace each from Alvito Colaco and Sunford Cardozo and a goal from Sidney Colaco snuffed the challenge out of the hosts.
