Exercise is really important when it comes to feeling happy, improving blood circulation, muscle and bone health, energy levels, enhancing weight loss and more. Moderate exercise on a regular basis can provide one with antioxidant protection and enhance blood flow, which can protect skin from stress and also delay signs of ageing.
Regular exercise should keep you active and help you lose weight in a stable way, but those who exercise on a daily basis and still do not lose weight need to make sure they are not exercising too much. In cases of over exercising, the body goes into negative stress and holds on to fat instead of burning it. This hampers weight loss in many individuals.
Here are solutions to common problems:
Back pain and muscle tightness: Different factors cause back pain. These could be tissue or muscle tightness, improper lifting form, too much weight, improper posture, and a lack of core muscle recruitment to lift heavy weights.
Cure: For severe pain one can massage warm sesame oil after which a heating pad can be used to reduce the pain.
Soak a flannel cloth in warm castor oil and place it on the back. To reduce the pain one can even use a hot water bag.
Use a little Epsom salt while bathing to relax muscle tightness and reduce pain.
Syncope: Syncope or fainting occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted. During heavy exercise one tends to lose water through sweat. Loss of water from the body leads to dehydration which causes a blood pressure drop, leading to lightheadedness, dizziness and fainting.
Cure: In the most cases this condition is caused due to lack of oxygen supply to the brain. One should practice deep breathing and try to rest.
Lay down on a flat surface and with the help of a pillow, ensure that the feet are raised. This will ensure oxygen supply to the brain and will help one regain consciousness and avoid syncope.
Hydration is important to balance the electrolytes and keep the systems cool.
Headaches: Over exercise can cause exertional headache which can leave one in bad shape even after having a great exercise routine.
Cure: Some simple exercises like stretching your head and neck can help reduce the intensity of the headache. Move your head up, down, right, left and bend your neck sideways. If you feel better, try to slowly rotate your neck in clockwise and anticlockwise directions.
Steam with eucalyptus oil helps reduce headache.
Take two to three drops of lavender, eucalyptus or peppermint oil and massage gently on the temples and practice deep breathing to reduce the headache and make the detoxification process easy to tackle.
Applying an ice pack to the back of your neck can relieve one of a headache as the cold pack helps reduce inflammation that contributes to headaches. It also has a numbing effect on the pain.
You can also try soaking your feet in hot water which helps get rid of a headache.
Exercise well and stay healthy!
