Furniture brand, Pepperfry, made its debut last week with its first store in Porvorim. The outlet is the 29th in the chain and offers interesting browsing opportunities for furniture lovers. Pepperfry is one of the first digital furniture companies of India. But currently the brand is moving towards creating an offline presence by launching more and more physical stores. .
“The current year will have the maximum stores opening with the network set to grow to 70 outlets,” said Ashish Shah, chief operating officer and founder, Pepperfry. He said that, in the last three years the company has established the largest omni-channel business in the furniture and home segment. “Now the focus is on metro and Tier 1 cities,” added Shah.
The Pepperfry franchise studio in Goa is in partnership with Kunal Retails, headed by Sonu Chatwal. Kunal Retails has operations across China, Delhi and Kanpur. The new store is spread over 4200 sq. ft. And by visiting it shoppers can experience the entire range of products that are sold online. “Studios have evolved as prime consumer engagement points with a contribution of more than 25 per cent to the overall business,” said Shah.
He explained that, physical stores provide a seamless shopping experience to customers and buyers are encouraged to order online. He added that, the brand is quite popular in Goa which is one of the top 15 market for the company.
