Short film ‘Kick’ on ill-effects of drugs, alcohol released

MARGAO: Dr Rajesh Patil, head of the department of  emergency  and trauma, Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), has said that the youth should take a right path, without falling prey to drugs and  alcohol, as continuation of it will only ruin their lives.

Dr Patil was speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the release of a short film – ‘Kick’,   produced for highlighting ill-effects of  drugs and alcohol consumption.

The short film was released at Vedganga hall, Panaskhande, Canacona. The film has been directed and produced by Amol Prabhudesai  and edited by  Sadanand Prabhugoankar,  and  presented by  BTS Production.  The script is written by Kavindra Phaldesai.

“I really appreciate the efforts taken by the team of youngsters. They deserve pat on their back. The message is clear. Youth should take a right path without falling prey to the vices of drugs and alcohol consumption, because it ruins  their lives,” he said.

The film was released in presence of  Dr Sharda Patil, renowned  obstetrician and gynecologist,  Roquizinho D’Souza,  ex-trustee of Alcoholics Anonymous and  Professor Kavindra  Phaldesai.
