Kalasangam 2017 was held at Sharada Mandir School for the fourth consecutive year. It is a social platform for artists and artisans from around Goa to showcase their talent through their pieces of art and craft like contemporary art , handicrafts or even photographs.
The theme of the event was ‘Christmas’ as it was held in December. Chief guest for the event was professional in landscape and design, Daniel D’souza who showcased his magical ability to shape a bonsai plant into various shapes and sizes. He spoke about the importance of this particular variation of the plant and the technique used. The artists and artisans were introduced by the students of class 11.
The event also had a desert making contest by students of class 12.
The entire process right from interviewing the participants to setting up the stalls was very educative for students.
