Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science, Margao hosted the eleventh annual Science Exhibition 2016 in collaboration with department of science, technology and environment, Government of Goa. The exhibition was a two-day event held at Babu Naik hall, Davorlim. A total of 125 exhibits were displayed by students of various schools and higher secondary schools from in and around Margao.
Chief guest of the inaugural function was Madhav Bandodka. Also present on the occasion was president, Mathagramasth Hindu Sabha, Bhai Naik; management executive, Reema Kunde; principal, Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School, R K Desai; PTA chairman, Vishwas Nayak; coordinator, science exhibition, P B Dubale and science secretary, Trupti Naik.
Addressing students and teachers Madhav Bandodkar said: “Character development and community progress is the need of the hour.” He said book knowledge is not sufficient to become a successful individual.
Desai also spoke on the occasion and emphasised that if we spread happiness, happiness comes back to us manifold. He expressed his concerns about environment pollution and said that we need to protect our planet.
P B Dubale spoke about the recent advancement in science and technology. He also defined the objectives of the exhibition.
