Department of BBA -Travel and Tourism of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim organised a one-day national level inter-collegiate event ‘Entrada’ on the theme ‘Sustainability – A Tool for Development’. Six teams from various colleges participated in the event.
Integrated MBA of Goa University were overall winners while S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Panaji followed as runners-up.
Principal, Fr Simão Diniz welcomed and spoke about various job opportunities in tourism industry and said we have to respect our environment, culture, communities and beautify it.
Chief guest for the inaugural function was director of BADAYL, Ranjan Solomon who spoke about sustainable tourism. The event included competitions like Open Stage, Dokumentra Film, Rurale Noto, Turn Coat, Scherzo, Corporate Survival, Campana Verde, Fotographia, Vegiocardo, Leaf Edge and Galleria. All the sub events were judged by personalities from the industry.
Valedictory function was presided over by chief guest, assistant director, Caritas-Goa, Savio Fernandes who along with Diniz distributed certificates and trophies to participants and winners.
