Harpreet Pasricha bags international quality award

PANAJI: Harpreet Pasricha, director of Diet Dr Clinic (powered by Harpreet Pasricha) was awarded for her excellence and hard work in the field of diet and nutrition at the hands of former Ms Universe, Sushmita Sen at the International Quality Awards (IQA) ceremony recently. IQA signifies the quality that your brand stands for, is comparable to International levels. The award recipients in various fields had come from different parts of India. The event was hosted by actress Payal Rohatgi and the chief guest of the evening was Sushmita Sen. Nutritionist Harpreet Pasricha happens to be the only award winner from Goa. NT

 

Lagubandhu seminar on pearls, diamonds on Jan 31

PANAJI: A seminar, “The pearl and diamond story,” by director Dilip Lagu (a qualified and experienced Gemmologist) will be held on January 31, at 3.30 p.m at Lagubandhu Panaji showroom. The seminar is organised by Lagubandhu – a name synonymous with trust, and tradition in Jewellery, for 80 years. Lagubandhu started with dealing in pearls in the year 1936 and forayed into diamond business in the year 1997. The seminar will be followed by an interactive session where Lagu will try to answer queries raised by the participants. ‘Lagubandhu’ have appealed all those interested, to participate in large numbers. Goencho Swaad at ‘The Crown Goa’

PANAJI: ‘Goencho Swaad,’ – a food festival of Goan flavours, spices, recipes and bonhomie will be held from January 27 to February 3, at 7 p.m to 11 p.m at The Crown Goa located on  Bairo Alto Dos Pilotos, Jose Falcao Road, Behind Old Secretariat, Panaji. “With 400 years of Portuguese colonisation and with our modern techniques, the chefs at The Crown Goa have combined local spices and flavors. The “Goencho Swaad” food festival will bring some favourite Goan foods  with a touch of Goan hospitality,” said Bobby Saxena general manager The Crown Goa. Canara, HSBC, OBC Life Insurance expects in FY16 a 30% growth 

MUMBAI: Private life insurance company Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance, the only company in India selling products exclusively through banks is expected to grow at an annualised rate of 20-30%. This will be driven through increase in sales capacity and launch of new set of products which will have a sharper proposition to address customer needs such as retirement planning, protection, planning for child’s education and guaranteed savings for lump-sum needs. These products would be available for launch over the next 3 to 6 months. Anuj Mathur, CEO, Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance, said, “This year the company will continue to expand and grow bancassurance channel as we believe it has a lot of potential still waiting to be tapped. In line with our business plans, our target is to grow our customer base by 40%-50%; we are aiming to increase our AUM to Rs 20,000 crores in 3 years.”

 

2-day garment fair in Mumbai from Jan 27

MUMBAI: The 62nd National Garment Fair, organised by The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) will be held on January 27 and January 28, at Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon (E), Mumbai. Textile Commissioner Dr Kavita Gupta, IAS will inaugurate the fair. This B2B fair will have 283 stalls displaying over 330 brands. Approximately 15,000 retailers and trade visitors from all over India are expected to visit this 2-day Fair and can also register online at onwww.cmai.in. The exhibitors at the fair will exhibit a wide range of men’s wear, women’s wear, kids’wear, ethnic wear, intimate wear, sports wear, etc showcasing their Spring – Summer 2016 collection. Moreover CMAI in association with The International Apparel Federation (IAF) will jointly organise the 32nd IAF World Fashion Convention from September 27 to September 28 in Mumbai.
