Mandovi Clinic launches regular clinics

PANAJI: Mandovi Clinic, Porvorim is launching regular clinics where gastrointestinal, liver or pancreatic patients including cancer, liver cirrhosis or liver failure patients will be assessed, counselled by a team of Mandovi Clinic doctors comprising of Dr Vinayak Deshpande, Dr Sunil Nadkarni  along with Dr Rahul Kakodkar, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary – pancreatic and liver transplant surgeon. Goa State Co-operative bank’s FLC camp held

SANKHALI: The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd through its Financial Literacy Centre had organised its financial literacy camp (FLC) at Gadevansh Temple Agarshala, Gadekar Bhatle, Pernem recently. Around 38 people attended the FLC Camp which included the members of Self Help Groups (SHG) and individuals from Gadevanch Bhatle, Pernem area. The dignitaries present on the occasion were T Geetha, DDM, NABARD, Durga Pednekar, Official, Kotak Life, Reshma Gadekar, Suvarna Mayekar, Anita Karambal, AIMS NGO, Sanjiv Lingudkar branch manager, The Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd., Sudesh K Nagvenkar, FLC counsellor, Chandranand Naik (FLC staff), Jaisantosh Mule and Shankar Naik. Sanjiv Lingudkar informed about SHG, loan schemes of the bank and about the insurance schemes of the bank. He called upon people to avail the facilities provided by the bank and also urged the people to use the ATM facility of the bank. NT

 

NABARD launches micro enterprise development programme

VALPOI: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) launched Micro Enterprise Development Programme implemented by State Bank of India (SBI) as a part of sustained financial inclusion campaign of RBI in Nanus village of Valpoi. The programme aims at creation of sustainable livelihoods amongst Self Help Group (SHG) members. The programme was inaugurated by Valpoi Municipal Council chairperson, Ramdas Shirodkar, in presence of general manager of NABARD, VR Khushro, general manager RBI, Jaykish and ward councillor, Parveen Khan. Khushro said that NABARD has been promoting the SHG – bank linkage programme throughout the country from last more than two decades. He stated that financing training programme for SHG through livelihood creation is one of the stated goals of this microfinance movement. Expressing his gratitude, VMC chairperson, Ramdas said that such training will help women folks to get financially empower.  NT
