Purple Campaign organised by MES College

Gender Champion Cell and department of sociology, MES College of Arts and Commerce in collaboration with the department of Women’s Studies, Goa University organised ‘Purple Campaign A workshop on Gender Sensitisation’ for final year students of the college. The colour purple is a combination of blue and pink and is symbolic of the dissolving of gender roles.

The half-day workshop coordinated by nodal teacher, S Susan Deborah and students T Sakina Begum and Varun Karpe was interspersed with creative games, role-plays, screenings and thought-provoking activities which brought to light the gender disparity and discrimination in various places and levels.

The workshop was attended by 60 students who received participation certificates.
