Panjim Cycling Club (PCC) organised a time trial bicycle race. The race began at Nerul bridge and went up to Aguada light house, covering a total distance of 5.6 kilometres.
Riders from all over Goa participated in the race. There were two categories for the race: the mountain bike category and the open category.
In the mountain bike category, the first place was won by Sundaram Narayanan who clocked a total of 13:22 minutes. The second place was won by Vikram Dalvi who clocked a total of 13:30 minutes. The third place was won by Pradyum Naik who clocked a total of 14:09 minutes.
In the open category, the first place was won by Fredsan Marshall who clocked a total of 10:43 minutes. The second place was won by Sanresh Shedekar who clocked a total of 10:50 minutes. The third place was won by Kadesh Dsouza who clocked a total of 11:55 minutes.
The PCC club was formed by a group of passionate cyclists from in and around Panaji who believe in promoting cycling to improve health and wellness. Some of the regular club riders include doctors, chartered accountants, architects and other professionals who have taken up cycling in a bid to improve their quality of life.
