Ponda: The Bethoda panchayat has decided to help Bhima Gaonkar (75), who has lost her nest egg of Rs 52,000 to the 2016 demonetisation of bank notes.
Bethoda sarpanch Tejas Shetkar, deputy sarpanch Jaanvi Gaonkar and panch member Chandrakant Samant visited the elderly woman at her residence at Taiginyem in Bethoda in Ponda taluka on Tuesday.
