The Art workshop brought art, music and dance together at International Centre Goa, Dona Paula. Self-taught artist Siddhi planned to begin with art workshops for children with music and dance incorporated in the workshop. Siddhi’s life has always been surrounded by art, music and dance, and she is of the opinion that life is incomplete without these components.
The aim of Art workshop was to change the perspective of drawing and painting towards creative thinking and mind development and enjoy one’s own idea of artwork. Speaking at the workshop she said: “My Art workshop, with music and dance, is a dream come true. I have given it my all and have seen my plan coming together at a bigger scale.”
Siddhi has taught children how to hold a pencil right way, reduce the pressure of drawing for different techniques of water colours. Every method was taught to set level 1 Art Foundation using children’s creative ideas.
The workshop began with drawing and painting. Drummer Carlos Gonsalves performed a solo that included almost 16 instruments. This was then followed by a musical session by musicians Rweff De Souza and Hepolith Lopes who sang English, Brazilian, Spanish and Konkani songs.
“I have an amazing team who ensured the event was flawless. This event has created never ending love for art, music and dance within children. We will soon have more of these workshops starting from December,” said Siddhi.
