This is the question which has arisen in India after the three speeches, one by the Vice President, Mr Hamid Ansari, another by the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh and yet another by Mr Justice Markandey Katju, chief of Press Council of India.

Mr Rahul Gandhi’s comment that he was not “obsessed” with becoming prime minister hardly helps him project himself as a politician who is not interested in becoming prime minister. He has not said he would never like to become prime minister.
