Nigerian held with drugs worth Rs 54.52 lakh at Siolim

Panaji: The anti narcotics cell of Goa police arrested a Nigerian from his rented room at Siolim and seized drugs worth Rs 54.52 lakh, informed the investigating police official, Rohan Nagueshkar.

Speaking to this daily,  police inspector Shitakant Nayak said that the contraband drugs include 1.025 kgs of ganja, 420 grams of Ecstasy powder, and 115 grams of Ecstasy tablets, all worth Rs 54,52,500 approximately  recovered from Chukwudi Ezechukwu (34).

The raid was conducted under the supervision of superintendent of police, ANC Utkrisht Prasoon under the guidance of DySP Mahesh Gaonkar and police inspector Shitakant Nayak. 

The raiding team comprised of PSI Videsh Pilgaonkara, PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar and constables Sushant Pagui, Mayur Gawade, Nitesh Mulgaonkar, Sandesh Volvoikar, Nhanu Harmalkar and all staff from ANC cell.

In this regard the ANC has registered the crime under Section 20(b)(ii) (B) & 22 (C) of NDPS Act-1985 against the alleged accused.
