The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has stated that there will be no change of any kind in the conduct of the 2019 HSSC and SSC examinations, including the syllabus and pattern of these examinations.
Coming out with this information, the secretary of Goa Board Bhagirath Shetye said that the Goa Board had introduced many changes in the HSSC as well as SSC examinations last year. “We will be following the same, without any new modifications this year,” he added.
The Goa Board has already announced the schedule of the 2019 HSSC and SSC examinations, with the HSSC examination to be conducted from March 1 to March 24, while the SSC examination to be held from April 2 to April 21.
Speaking further, the Goa Board secretary said that this year, the Goa Board held meetings with the principals of higher secondary schools as well as the headmasters of high schools, each meeting participated by 160 to 170 such heads of these schools.
“They were informed about the recognitions, exemptions, examinations, syllabus and so on of the Goa Board,” Shetye added, pointing out that the news circulating about application-based questions being introduced by the Goa Board in its examinations from 2019 is totally incorrect. “However, the Goa Board has always been setting questions, which have some application or the other,” he
