MARGAO: Sources in Maina-Curtorim police station on Saturday informed that the police sub-inspector, Mr Suraj Samant has been dispatched to Chennai along with a team in connection with the investigation into the suicide attempt by Nadia Torreado, a woman from Loutolim.

Mr Suraj has been sent to Chennai to record her statement following the direction from a senior police officer.
Sanguem police station police inspector, Mr Raju Raut Dessai who has been entrusted with the investigation of the case, registered by the Maina Curtorim police was earlier sent to Mumbai to investigate the same. He returned and now PSI Mr Samant has been sent to Chennai, as now it is learnt that she has been moved to Chennai for further treatment.
