PANAJI: Ashish Shirodkar has once again approached the High Court of Bombay at Goa, for bail in the alleged connection of the police officials with Ataule, in the drugs Youtube clipping case.

The applicant has approached the High Court after the Special Judge NDPS at Mapusa, rejected his bail application by order dated April 16. According to the applicant neither the alleged video clipping nor the complaint prima facie, shows the involvement of the applicant in the crime. It is also stated that as on date, there is no reasonable grounds to believe that the applicant is alleged to be involved in the said crime.
The trial court had rejected the bail considering that there is sufficient prima facie evidence indicating that the applicant connived with the suspected drug dealer in contravention of the provisions of  the NDPS Act. The trial court had also observed that involvement of police officials with suspected dealers is a serious matter, requiring thorough investigation in order to go into the root of the matter.
