BICHOLIM: A 12- year-old lad, Prathamesh Prakash Gaonkar, was crushed to death in a tempo accident, which was reported at Gaonkarwada-Advalpal in Bicholim on Tuesday, around 9:30 a.m.

According to Bicholim police, the boy, a resident of Gaonkarwada-Advalpal on Tuesday morning came under the rear wheel of a tempo, bearing registration number GA-03- T-
6273, while he was crossing the road to purchase bread from a stall.
Prathamesh who sustained grievous injuries was rushed to the Asilo hospital in Mapusa, where doctors there declared him dead on arrival.
The Bicholim PSI, Mr Deetendra Naik conducted the panchanama. The body of the lad was handed over to his relatives after conducting autopsy for final rites. An unnatural death case has been registered and offence against the driver of the tempo will be registered after investigation, said PSI, Mr Naik.
