PANAJI: The state government has launched a new initiative called Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to help create database of personal details of individual employees including calculation of salary and pension payable, filing of returns, keeping track of attendance and other leaves, service books, insurance and health benefits.
The work of development and implementation of the project under the 13th Finance Commission has already started through Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd and the work of digitisation of the first 10 government departments has been initiated.
The system will provide a comprehensive database and this will enable organisations to provide structural connectivity across units and increase the speed of information transactions. It will also help facilitate centralisation of employee records, easy data retrieval, integration with other departments etc.
