Nair says will take revenge of Pulwama terror attack

MAPUSA: Stating that “there are positive signals from the Army that the major operation will be carried out along the Line of Control (LoC),” Major (retired) Venugopal Nair said that “we have to be patient because enemy nation will be alert now; they must have taken out all the launch pads, and hidden all the terrorists, who otherwise try to sneak into our territory. So, patience is required.”

Major (retd) Nair was addressing the gathering at Mapusa Hutama Chowk on Thursday evening.

A candlelight march was organised in Mapusa wherein people from different walks of life participated to express solidarity with the country in fight against  terrorism, and pray for bravehearts who lost their lives in terror attack in Pulwama in Kashmir.

The march which began from Sim Khorlim moved towards Hutama Chowk, and then towards Sirsat Lodge and took a

turn and proceeded further to Gandhi Circle and concluded at Hutama Chowk where lighted candles were placed before an image of ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti.’

Major (retd) Nair, who is secretary of Department of Sainik Welfare, placed wreath at the image of Amar Jawan Jyoti.

Addressing the gathering, Major (retd)  Nair said that “I’m sure that severe action will be taken. I’m not saying that it will be a war or something like that. It can be a covered operation. It can be special forces’ operation. But, we will take revenge of Pulwama terror attack.”

He further said that “it is clear that the enemy nation has hand in the terror attack.”
