Milagres hit Saligao for six

DULER: Milagres Sports Club completed a 6-0 rout of Saligao Sporting in the GFA’s Second Division League match played at Duler Stadium on Thursday.

In an evenly contested first half, the teams played a 1-1 draw with Ajay Divadkar scoring for Saligao Sporting in the 8th minute, only to see Valito Miranda restore parity for Milagres SC at the half hour mark.

The second half was totally dominated by Milagres SC, as they scored as many as five goals with Albino Pereira and Lloyd Cardozo scoring a brace each while Joalan Fernandes chipped in with a goal.

At Ambelim ground: Cannut Fernandes second half equaliser helped St Sebastiao SC hold Sao Jose de Areal SC to a 1-1 draw after Alvito Moura scored for the Areal team.

At Dramapur ground: Sports & Welfare Club Zaino came from behind to hold Carmel SC 3-3.

Jade Colaco gave SWC Zaino a sixth minute lead but Paxton Gomes made it all square for Carmel SC in the 27th minute. Abhay Shetty then gave Carmel SC the lead just before the breather.

Changing ends, Carmel SC further inflated the lead at the hour mark through Agnelo Colaco but

SWC Zaino scored two goals in the span of three minutes. Leslie Fernandes reduced the margin in the 77th minute before Samson Fernandes scored the equalising goal in the 79th minute. The

scores remained 3-3 till the final whistle.
