Micromax YU launched in India

Micromax’s YU has officially launched the company’s latest budget smartphone YU ACE. The phone comes with 5.45-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display and has a resolution of 1440 pixels x 720 pixels. It has 1.5GHz Quad-core MediaTek 64-bit processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU, and runs on Android v8.0 Oreo. The device has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while its other variant has 3GB RAM with 32GB storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. This dual-SIM capable phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. Its network capability includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2 LE and GPS. The phone comes with a 4000mAh battery and is available in charcoal grey, elektric blue, and rose gold colours. The 2GB/16GB edition is priced at `5,999 and the 3GB/16GB edition is priced at `6,999. It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from September 6.

 

Motorola has unveiled the Motorola One and One Power Android One smartphones at the IFA in Berlin. The phone has a 5.9-inch 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1520 pixels x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. This dual-SIM phone runs on Android v8.1 Oreo edition which is upgradable to Android v9.0 Pie. Motorola One has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 2-megapixel secondary rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone also supports fingerprint sensor and comes with Water repellent nano coating. The device also comes with a 3000mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging capabilities.

One Power phone has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2246 pixels x 1080 pixels. Powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. It packs 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. The other variant has 4GB RAM with 64GB storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. This dual-SIM capable phone runs on Android v8.1 Oreo and can be upgraded to Android v9.0 Pie. On the optics side, this phone has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. It also has a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. The device features a 4850mAh (minimum) battery with TurboPower fast charging. Motorola One is available in black and white colour options while the Motorola One Power is available in black, white and gold.

Blackberry KEY2 LE has been announced with features such as a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1620 pixels x 1080 pixels. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. The phone has 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Its other variant has 64GB internal storage. The phone’s memory can be expanded up to 256GB with microSD. This hybrid dual-SIM phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. Its network features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5 LE, GPS / GLONASS and NFC. The device has a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. BlackBerry KEY2 LE comes in slate, champagne and atomic colours. The phone is priced at $399 for the 32GB storage variant and $449 for 64GB edition. It will be available in US, UK, Germany, France, UAE, and Canada from next month.

Sony has launched its flagship phone – Xperia XZ3. The phone comes with 6-inch OLED HDR triluminos display. It also features X-Reality and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a resolution of 1440 pixels x 2880 pixels and is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. The device has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 400GB using microSD support. Sony Xperia XZ3 comes with Android v9.0 Pie edition. It has a 19-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor and comes with 5-axis stabilisation. The camera has 4K video recording and 960fps slow-motion video capturing. It also has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Its network features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac MIMO, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C. The phone has 3300mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, and features Qi Wireless Charging and Qualcomm Quick Charge v3.0 mechanism. Sony Xperia XZ3 is available in black, silver white, forest green and Bordeaux red colour options. It will be available in selected markets at the approximate price of $900.
