Lupins announces graduation of 3rd batch

PANAJI: Pharmaceutical manufacturer, Lupin Ltd., on Thursday, announced the third batch of students graduating through the company’s learn-and-earn initiative. Started in 2011, the programme is a part of Lupin’s initiative to create a ready pool of talent for the booming pharmaceutical sector. Yashwant Mahadik, president, global human resources, said “The third batch graduated on September 5, and received employment with the company on the same day. Graduating students from the Goa batch received their degree and marksheet on one hand and their appointment letter at the same time.” It is aligned to the national skill development mission and focuses on youth from underprivileged families, he added. “Applicants have to be above the age of 18, of 12th science background with above 50 per cent marks to gain admission,” he said. The students get an opportunity to earn through an internship while learning. NT
