Tudal HS lift Dilip Sardesai U-16 Trophy

PANAJI: Tudal High School won the Dilip Sardesai Trophy U-16 Canacona taluka Inter school Cricket tournament organised by Goa Cricket Association defeating Nirakar High school by 44 runs at Nirakar Sports Complex, Mashem. Aryan Gaonkar was the high scorer for the Tudal side scoring 41 runs. Nirakar High school were bundled out at 95 runs. Prathamesh Chari and Ashish Gaonkar took four wickets each.

Shree Nagesh edge CDJ Ribandar

PANAJI: Shree Nagesh Maharudra Sports Club scored a narrow 1-0 win over CDJ Ribandar in the Goa Football Association Second Division League match played at Taleigao, ground, on Saturday. Sudesh Kunkolkar scored the only goal for the winning team in the 52nd minute after neither sides could manage to find the mark in the first 45 minutes.

St Savio hold Sporting Clube

PORIAT: St Savio Sports Club put up a strong fight to hold Sporting Clube de Goa in a frustrating goalless draw in the Goa Football Association U-16 League at the Poriat ground. Sporting Clube will surely regret for not taking the chances and opportunities they had in the initial stages as St Savio SC kept their defense line strong in the later stages of the game.

SJD Areal outplay St Rock 3-1

Carmona: Sao Jose de Areal defeated St Rock’s Youth Club, Majorda 3-1 to enter the quarterfinals of late John Cruz Ferrao organised by Carmona SC and played at Carmona grounds on Saturday. Alivito, Ariason and Monty scored for Sao Jose de Areal while Stanford D’Costa pulled a goal back for Majorda team.

Vinavi to lead Goa in Sr Womens T20 Tourney

PANAJI: Vinavi Gurav will be captaining the state Senior Women’s Team in the Senior Women’s T20 Tournament which will be held in Agartala, Tripura from Feb 20. Goa in quarters of All India University Football C’ship

PANAJI: Goa University qualified for the quarter finals of the All India Inter University Football Championship for Women, organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab. Goa University held Utkal University to a goalless draw to finish second in the group and qualify for the quarter finals.
