Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) completed 62 years of service to the nation on September 1, and the annual milestone like every year is being celebrated by the Insurance Week, from September 1-7.
The focus of the celebrations this year will be to increase awareness of insurance among residents. Celebrations kicked off with an inaugural ceremony at the Goa divisional office at Jeevan Vishwas, EDC Complex, Patto.
During the Insurance Week, many initiatives such as, additional help desks for customers in the branch offices, special drive for creating awareness of insurance in rural areas, customer mwet at various offices, competitions for school and college students and competitions for employees have been planned.
One day customer service camps are also organised at eight locations across the state. In its 62 year journey, LIC has crossed many milestones and has set unprecedented performance records in various aspects of life insurance business. The corporation continues to be the dominant life insurer even in the liberalized scenario of the insurance industry and is moving fast on a new growth trajectory surpassing its own past records. The years have seen LIC growing from strength to strength in customer base, agency network, branch office network and new business premium.
In keeping with the times, LIC has now revamped its portal system with latest technological platforms to enhance digital experience and providing more online services. LIC Mobile App for customer is available on Android as well as iOS platforms and has over 800,000 Active Users. LIC new Customer Portal has over 100 lakhs registered user.
