Land use map, register of Taleigao planning area to be adopted




The Greater Panaji Planning and Development Authority (GPPDA) has decided to adopt the newly-prepared land use map and land use register of Taleigao planning area, showing the present land use patterns, under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1974.

A public notice to this effect has been issued by the member secretary of the GPPDA, R K Pandita.

It may be recalled that after inviting objections from public in July, earlier this year, a sub-committee was appointed to hear objections and the report was submitted to GPPDA.

“Under Section 27 (4) of Town and Country Planning Act, 1974, the sub-committee placed the report in its 5th authority meeting held on August 27, 2008,” says the public notice, adding that, the authority considered the report of the sub-committee with some modifications and unanimously resolved to adopt the said land use map and register.

The copies of present land use map and land use register of Taleigao planning area, and part Panaji Area comprising of Taleigao planning area are available for inspection at the Taleigao panchayat office (Taleigao area), and at the Corporation of the City of Panaji office (Panaji area), as also at the North Goa PDA office at Mala,
