KLE CBALC wins Impressions’18

Department of business administration of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim organised a two-day National Level Management Event ‘Impressions 18’.

The event began with an inaugural ceremony, followed by the Impressions theme songs and lighting of the traditional lamp. Chief guest for the inaugural function was Cabinet Minister, Government of Goa, Nilesh Cabral. Principal of the college, Fr Simão Diniz welcomed the chief guest and exhorted students to give their best for every event they participate in. Through his speech he also emphasised that being ethical is very important; because of unethical practices today the food that we eat is adulterated and poisonous for the human body, and all this stems from greed. He urged students to lead a path in transforming oneself and society. In his address Cabral emphasised that we should never be afraid of following our hearts and fulfilling our dreams. He said that by working hard one can achieve his/her dreams and that by moving out of one’s comfort zone one can come across a lot of opportunities. He asked the participating colleges to work hard and do their best.

The eight colleges that participated in Impressions’18 were St Xaviers College, Mapusa; Dyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Mapusa; S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira; Murmugaon Education Society’s College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar; KLE CBALC, Belgaum; KLS Gogte College Belgaum; Goa Multi Faculty College, Dharbandora; Saraswat Vidyalaya’s SridoraCaculo College of Commerce and Management Studies, Mapusa.

The theme for this year’s event was ‘Ascentia – Rising through Transformation’. The theme encourages one to inculcate the importance of rising from unethical practices, exploitation of resources and greed through moral and ethical transformation and look forward to a future that is corrupt-free and self-sustained for both, the human race and the earth.

Chief guest for the valedictory function was Elvis Gomes who highlighted various facts that are taking place today and advised students to keep in touch with the changing trends in the society and industry. He encouraged students to pursue excellence once they step into the real world and asked them to leave an impression on the society.

Winners of the In the Team Work round were KLS Gogte College; winners of Human Resources were Murmugaon Education Society’s College of Arts and Commerce and runners-up were Saraswat Vidyalaya’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies; winners of the marketing round were S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics and the runners up were Saraswat Vidyalaya’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies.

Winners of the Best Manager were Saraswat Vidyalaya’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies and runners-up were Murmugaon Education Society’s College of Arts and Commerce; winners of the finance event were KLE CBALC, Belgaum and runners-up were KLS Gogte College; winners of the crisis management round were Saraswat Vidyalaya’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies and runners-up were  S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics; and winners of the entrepreneurship round were KLS Gogte College and runners-up were KLE CBALC, Belgaum.

Overall winners of Impression’18 were KLE CBALC, Belgaum and runners-up were Saraswat Vidyalaya’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies College, Mapusa.
