Vijaya Mehta, eminent theatre personality will grace the occasion of the celebration of World Theatre Day on March 27 at 6.30 p.m. at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir. 

She will present the Rangsanman Puraskar to four Goan theatre artistes - Pandurang Gaonkar (Acting), Kamlakant Chari (Stage Setting), Suhas Savardekar (Script Writing) and  Vithal Khandolkar (Music).  Mehta will deliver a lecture on Indian Theatre and World Scenario on this occasion.  Besides, Goan theatre lovers will get an opportunity to interact with this great artiste, in the special get-together, which will be organized from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. The function will conclude with the presentation of a Sanskrit play ‘Kalidas Pratibhonmesh’. The play is written by Laxman Pitre and directed by Saish Deshpande.
