Tapping in on the in flow of frolickers on vacation in Goa, with a special eye on the Goan Diaspora who make visits during the summer vacation to meet family, event organisers Jov-Lyn Ad events with media partner The Navhind Times are organising their third Traditional Country Nite on May 1 at the Emerald Lawns.
Hoping to turn on the nostalgic memories with golden oldies and hummable songs that can set feet tapping in a snap, Jov-Lyn Ad events have organised this night. With music centring around country music, you can sway and do a tango, waltz, a cha-cha-cha and even go rock n roll style. This dance ball is one that you would not want to miss.
Today the music scene is all about hip hop, hard rock and metallic says Jovito Menezes, the proprietor of Jov-Lyn Ad events. This sidelines the older generation and lovers of country music. Country music is different, you do not need the music to blast says Jovito making a point.
A special treat awaits senior citizens. Their entry will be free. Says Jovito: “The traditional country night is a family affair. It is not a beach side party.”
No, there won’t be cows and cowboys throwing lassos, however, don’t be disappointed, because in keeping up with the country night tempo, there will be horse rides for children.
To commemorate the event they release a souvenir. This time Jovito informed that they would be releasing a booklet with important information and contact details. He adds, “We encourage fresh talent to come and perform for the country night. This year we will be having a new young singing sensation, Kristine Saldanha.”
And as Goa’s best bands The Big Country Band and Jus’ Leo floor you with their music join in and have fun.
