The Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) has instituted awards for Konkani song and music audio albums. These awards are called ‘Konkani Song and Music Awards 2009’.

Twenty audio albums produced by Goan producers, singers and music composers during the period January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 participated in the competition.
The Konkani Song and Music Awards 2009 consist of following awards: Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Best Music Composer, Best Lyricist, Best Album of the year 2009.
The first four awards carry a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each while the Best Album Award carries a trophy besides a cash prize of Rs 20,000.
The award function is scheduled to be held on April 30 at 5 p.m. at the Conference Hall of the Tiatr Academy of Goa, S-1/S-4, Block-A, 2nd Floor, Campal Trade Centre, Opposite Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji.
An entertainment programme of songs and comedy skits by Ben Evangelisto, Succur de Santa Cruz, Sonia, Comedian Sally and Comedian Brayan will be presented on the occasion.
