Proud to perform

Like every other year, this year too the Hamara School had organised an event for under privileged children. The event held at the Goa museum hall saw the children perform songs and dances giving expression to their talents.

At a function organised by the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust and Directorate of Art and Culture, students of Hamara School - a school for street children - graced the event with an invocation song for the concert ‘Surya’, and a music and dance concert.

The children dressed in colourful attire gracefully performed the Koli dance choreographed by Tinku Sanyal and Tuli Mukherjee, ‘Waka Waka’, choreographed by Rani Sanyal, was coupled with stunts that left the audience amazed. This was followed by a dance on a Tagore song ‘Aaye tobe Shaho Chari’ choreographed by Tinku Sanyal and a Bollywood dance ‘Aaja Nachale’ choreographed by Tuli Mukherjee.

The song ‘Tujse Naraj Nahi Zindagi’ had everyone humming along with the singer.

In addition to the students of Hamara School, the platform was also shared by other singers.
