It was an evening dedicated to music of Goan flavours. It was the official audio launch of the yet to be released Konkani film, ‘O Maria’ held recently.
The movie which is the fourth film by filmmaker, Rajendra Talak has the music scores done by Remo Fernandes. Out of four tracks he has sung three tracks and has arranged, programmed and pre-mixed all the songs.
The music CD was formally launched by the CEO of Entertainment Society of Goa, Mr Manoj Srivastava along with the cast of the movie. In his address, Mr Srivastava stated that the standard of Konkani films was increasing and soon it would be able to compete with films of international stature.
Rajendra Talak stated that this movie was a gift to all Goans and it is scheduled to be released this December 19, a day which also marks 50 years of Goa liberation. This film has also been selected for the competition section of the 41st IFFI, Goa that will be held from November 22 till December 3.
Mr Rajesh Malhotra of Rock & Raga during the release maintained that nowadays the entertainment industry was facing a major setback due to piracy and appealed to the people to but original CDs in order to help the industry to grow.
The event was well attended by various celebrities like Priyanka Bidaye, writer and dialogue writer of the film, Damodar Mauzo, actress, Meenacshi Martins, Kevin D’Mello and Aryan Khedekar.
The CD also contains four tracks of the previous movie of Rajendra Talak, ‘Saavariya.com.’
