Swar Sidhha Sangeet Vidyalaya, Bordem, Bicholim has organised a day-long sangeet sammelan in memory of renowned music artist from Bordem-Bicholim, the late Vinayak Bordekar.

The sammelan will be held on March28 at the Siddhivinayak temple at Naiknagar, Bicholim. The Bicholim MLA, Mr Rajesh Patnekar informed that the sammelan was being organised by Swar Sidhha Sangeet Vidyalaya in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture.
Member secretary of Kala Academy, Dr Pandurang Phaldesai will inaugurate the event. In the list of special invitees is MLA, Mr Rajesh Patnekar, chairperson of Bicholim municipal council, Mr Satish Gaonkar, councillor Ms Aruna Patnekar, Mr Kamalkant Teli, noted tabla maestro, Mr Tulshidas Navelkar, and Mr Vijay Telang.
Renowned music artists like Prachala Amonkar and Ustad Rahimat Khan will perform on the occasion. Sitaraam Pal, Chandraknat Parab, Mahadev Dicholkar and Sagar Mahale will be felicitated on the occasion for their contribution to their respective fields.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 3 p.m.
