K-OSS 2012, an annual inter-collegiate event of S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics was declared open by Mr Shrinivas Dempo, chairman of Dempo Group of Companies, in the presence of Dr Radhika Nayak,

principal, S S Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Mr Sunil Prabhudesai, administrator, Dempo Charities Trust, Mr Nikhil Varerkar, vice principal, Mr Pravin Gaonkar, chairman of students council and Mr Vishal Rane, co-ordinator of the event and his team.
Earlier Dr Radhika Nayak welcomed the gathering and congratulated the students for their tireless efforts, especially the enthusiasm of the girls and thanked the sponsors for their support.
Mr Shrinivas Dempo, along with the other dignitaries, lit the traditional lamp and released the souvenir. In his address, he encouraged students to pursue their dreams and avail of such opportunities to hone their organisational skills.
Altogether 14 colleges participated in the event. There was an overwhelming response for events like the battle of bands, fashion show, dance, third degree and fashion photography. Judges for the event were Aryan Khedekar, Monty Sally, Jeshuran D'Cruz, Kadesh D'souza, etc.
St. Xavier’s college won first place, Saraswat College second place, while third place was shared by Don Bosco College of Panaji and Goa Engineering College.
The valedictory function was graced by Ms Pallavi Dempo, Trustee, Dempo Charities Trust. In her address she congratulated the winners and the management for their support in all such events that showcase academic and non-academic talents of the students.
