PANAJI: Members of the delegation accompanying Ivanka Trump, daughter and adviser of US President Donald Trump, at the 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be held in Hyderabad, later this month, will arrive in Goa on November 17, on a day-long visit, which will include a lecture on ‘Trade and investment opportunities with USA – What, where, how, when and with whom.’
The lecture will be delivered by Purnima Voria, the founder and CEO of National US India Chamber of Commerce, Denver – Colarado, at the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry convention hall, on November 17 at 4 pm. She is a part of the Trump-led US delegation and will attend the GES.
Ivanka Trump, however, will not be visiting Goa.
Coming out with this information before pressmen, GCCI president Sandip Bhandare on Saturday said that the GCCI wants people associated with business to promote Goa as a business destination. “GCCI connects the people by accelerating the available technologies and opening full field for operating with it,” he added, pointing out that the state government policies on trade and business like say, Start-up Policy should not have large gap between their announcement and issuance of the notification.
Chairman of the national council for MSME of Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Manguirish Pai Raikar, speaking at the press conference stated that the November 17 event is a serious business meet and those entrepreneurs desiring to attend it should register themselves in advance.
Speaking further, Raikar said that primary talks with the delegation members have already taken place and they will be helping our entrepreneurs in trading as well as export areas in the US market, further leveraging partnership with the local entrepreneurs. “The partnership will especially provide a boost to the new generation companies,” he added.
The lecture is jointly organised by the GCCI and the ASSOCHAM. Those interested in attending the lecture can contact GCCI. The guest list will be restricted to only 100 guests.
