To provide tiatr enthusiasts a platform to showcase their skills and talents the Kala Academy Goa has invited entries for the 4th Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition (2017-18), which will commence from the first week of September 2017. The last date for submission of entries in the prescribed format so as to reach Kala Academy is latest by July 24 before 4 p.m. The rules and regulations copy along with entry forms will be available in the Programme and Development Section of Kala Academy from July 17 2017 onwards during office hours. The duly filled in entry forms along with the cash remittance of entry fee and security deposit will be accepted latest by 4 p.m. till the stipulated last date for receipt of entries. The participating institutions are also required to submit their registration/renewal certificate compulsorily along with the entry form. The draw to decide sequence of performance by lots will be taken on July 24 at 5 p.m. at the meeting room of Kala Academy.
As per the revised rules, this year onwards, Groups placed at serial number 13, 14 and 15 in Group ‘A’ as per the result of Tiatr Competition will be relegated to ‘B’ Group Tiatr Competition for the subsequent year and groups placed at serial number 1, 2 and 3 as per result of ‘B’ Group Tiatr Competition for the preceding year will have to participate in this year’s Tiatr ‘A’ Group Competition. In any case maximum 15 groups shall be eligible to participate in ‘A’ Group Tiatr Competition.
The right to get retained in ‘A’ Group competition shall stand forfeited in respect of the concerned participating institutions, if they fail to participate in the subsequent year, on account of any reasons. In such case, the concerned institutions will have to participate through ‘B’ group competition to qualify for ‘A’ group.
The Kala Academy has appealed to all institutions registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 to submit their entries in the prescribed format. The registered institutions interested to participate are also required to renew their registration with the competent authority, as required under rules of Societies Registration Act, Sub Section (2) of Section 3 B of the Act 1860 (Central Act, 21 of 1860). Failure to renew the registration within the stipulated period entails cancellation of the participation of the concerned institution. All the registered institutions may, therefore, take note of the same to avoid last minute inconvenience for submission of their entries.
As per rules of the competition, the participating institutions will have to pay `100 as entry fee and an amount of `1,000 as security deposit which will be refunded immediately after the performance. Only those institutions withdrawing within the stipulated five days will be eligible for refund of their security deposit.
