PANAJI: The annual three-day Chaitrapournimotsav at the Mahalaxmi Temple, Panaji organised by the Chaitrapournimekar Samaj, will begin on March 30, with Hanuman Jayanti, the birth of Lord Hanuman at 9 a.m, followed by Sukhasan procession of Shri Mahalaxmi at 8.30 p.m, and performance of a Marathi play, ‘Ashi Pakhare Yeti’ at 9.30 p.m.

The second day of the religious festival will include religious rituals at noon, followed by chariot procession of the deity at 5 p.m. and a Marathi play, ‘Pahije Jatiche’ at 9.30 p.m.

On April 1, the palanquin procession of Shri Mahalaxmi will be held at 8.30 p.m., followed by a presentation of a Konkani play, ‘Putacho Mog-Bapaycho Fog’ at 9.30 p.m.
