Skin care in summer

In summer the hair loses its moisture therefore condition it regularly. If you are using hair colour, do not step out without covering your hair because colour tends to fade in summer.

You  can also use leave-in conditioner with sun screen to protect your hair from losing colour, avoid washing your hair daily because this will cause your colour to fade the also remove the natural oils from the hair. Never blow dry coloured hair let it dry naturally.
In summer people are into swimming, always take a shower after swimming so that the salt and the chemicals from the swimming pool are washed away. If you are going to visit places which have sand or snow then you must known that the UV rays are very intense in these places. These rays are intense at high attitude and never venture out during mid-day, when the suns rays are intense, cover yourself with light cotton clothes completely, tie a scarf on the head and wear sun glasses, these precautions will help you from falling a victim to sunburn and suntan.
In summer certain vitamins help you. Vitamin keeps the skin clear of blemishes and pimples. Vitamin C maintains the level of collagen in the skin and keeps it wrinkle free. B vitamins prevent pigmentation of the skin and also dandruff. Amongst minerals zinc and calcium play and important role in keeping the skin free of acne and scalp free of dandruff. Water plays a great role in keeping the skin soft and hydrated and free of toxins. Drink at least ten glasses. Always be seated whilst drinking water and take small sips of it instead of gulping it down, drinking water regularly keeps the body cool and hydrated, aids in digestion, nutrient absorption and lends a healthy glow to the skin and hair, in summer it plays a major role in regulating body temperature and in maintaining the electrolyte balance in the body. Avoid spicy, fried and junk food, eat plenty of dark green and yellow vegetables and fruits. To beat the summer heat drink watermelon juice, cucumber juice, coconut water, nimbu pani and buttermilk, never go in for carbonated drinks, they do more harm then good to the body and are full of empty calories. Avoid non-vegetarian foods and eat water based food like pumpkin, tomatoes, cucumbers, lady fingers, cabbage, etc.
