As part of its next cultural activity Alliance Francaise, Panaji is organising a piano recital by renowned pianist, Marouan Benabdallah on March 24 at 6.30 p.m. at St Michaels Church, Taleigao.
As an heir to the Hungarian musical tradition, Marouan Benabdallah (son of a Hungarian musician mother and a Moroccan physicist father) embodies the new emerging generation of Hungarian pianists. He represents the cultural diversity and outward looking Morocco, not to mention his attachment to Franceand its culture.
His International career started in 2003 following his success both at a Hungarian Radio Piano Competition and at the Andorra Grand prize. He was then invited to Germany, Austria, China, Spain, US, UK, Franceand Italy. He gave performances in prestigious Halls like “Salle Cortot” in Paris, the Noga Hilton Theatre in Cannes, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Cleveland Play House, the Sundin Hall in Minneapolis, the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijingand the Oriental Art Centre in Shanghai.
Marouan has been granted a scholarship from the French Government since 2008 and he lives in Budapestand Paris.
