A mesmerising evening of dance and music

Talented children will be seen unleashing their potential on stage at the National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, on August 28 from 5:45 p.m. onwards. This magical evening will be graced by the Governor of Goa, Dr Shivender Singh Sidhu, the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat, the guest of honour, Mr Pratapsingh Rane and other dignitaries.

This show is unique in many aspects for the fact that it harmonises the performances of normal children with differently-abled children and it will be impossible for anyone to decipher the difference. The musical, dance and fashion extravaganza by students from all over Goa, titled Unison 2010 now in its 5th year, has been conceptualised and brought on stage by Jason and Sylvia of the Jason and Sylvia Dance Academy.

This year’s performances will once again showcase the amazing talents of kids from the Academy, from Daddy's Home-Margao and School for Appropriate Learning, Care of Peoples Educational Trust, Mala-Panaji.

There will be scintillating performances of Goan folk dances such as dhekni, Indian dances such as bhangra, western ballroom, hip hop, jazz-ballet and a special dedication of the Jason and Sylvia Dance Academy to the King of Pop - Michael Jackson interspersed with kids fashion and singing.

There will also be a special dance presentation by the Airport Authority of India, Western Region, Goa which won the 14th AAI Annual Dance Competition held in Siri Fort, Delhi which was specially choreographed by Jason and Sylvia.

Unison 2010 will reach its climax with the performance by the award winning couple Jason and Sylvia, who have a special surprise in store.

Unison 2010 provides a platform for kids to subject themselves to discipline and guidance and produce something marvellous by contributing the talents, nurtured by professionals. The annual extravaganza by extremely talented children has brought alive the talents of many kids who have gone on to perform on stage with ease and poise. It sure promises to be an evening to remember.
