Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath better known as KK believes that today’s youth suffers from peer pressure and should be little laid back in life. “Youth are youth, they are same. On the concluding day KK performed amidst the college students who represented various colleges from all over the country. When asked about performing for the youth fest, he stated, “I love enjoying for the youth fest and I am used to performing for such events right from my college days. It was actually a means for me to earn extra pocket money. I remember, I even bought a Nike shoes worth Rs 1500 for the first time when I was in college.”
KK who is not new to Goa comes here quite often and loves spending quality time here. He also enjoys Goan music and adores Goan musician and singer, Remo Fernandes. “Goan music is very light and soothing. Around 10 years when I had come here with my wife we went to one restaurant where they were playing Goan music. We spent almost two hours listening to it as it was so relaxing” said KK.
About Remo he asserted that he is his favoruite and loves his music. “His music has a distinct flavor and he does what he likes to do” adds KK.
Referring to the current trend of music, when asked whether he is ready for soup song (kolaveri di), he said, “I don’t I can do that. I think it is a current fed.” He also maintained that he didn’t connect to the songs of the popular music of Rockstar movie. “The Rockstar music was different but I could not connect to it that much. The only track I liked was ‘Sadda Haq’ but it is not my favourite. I like Mohit Chauhan otherwise and my all time favourite of his is, ‘Dooba Dooba.”
On a concluding note he advised youth by adding, “It looks like they (youth) are chasing someone else’s dream. They need to follow their life step by step. Also stay away from smoking, drinking and also try to avoid tub baths in order to save water.”
