A granite idol of Goddess Durga, also known as Chamundeshwari or Mahishasura Mardhini, believed to be 2000-year-old was excavated from the Sulabhat Lake near Agasaim on May 24.

The Water Resources department has undertaken the work of development of the Sulabhat Lake and work is going on in a space. While cleaning a corner of the lake, the idol, it is learnt, came up in the shovel along with the mud.  The construction of a Chamundeshwari temple is in progress in the village.
The idol is made of black granite and measures 1.5 feet in length. The idol has been kept at the Shree Rawalnath Sateri Temple.
