Masci’s Corner - Pate nay patte

Now this is one preparation that the French have mastered…the chicken liver pate. In fact this preparation is so popular that it is found regularly on the menu’s as snacks…especially at Goan weddings.

But Michael Mascarenhas and Rita Mody Joshi partners of the new venture CHOGM House have created an innovation that will tickle the tastebuds of our locals..chicken pate, nay patte – goan style.
CHICKEN PATTE paté : Ingredients:- 200 gm Shredded Chicken, 15 gms boiled or roasted Onion, 5 gms Garlic, a pinch of Garam Masala, ½ no Green chilly, Salt & Pepper, 2 Tbsp oil. .
Preparation:- Take 200 gm of Chicken breast; marinate the chicken with ginger & garlic. Chopped green chillies, Garam masala, salt and pepper for taste. In a pan pour 2 table spoon of oil. When the pan is slightly hot sauté the onions & drop the marinated chicken in the pan, you can either pan fry or roost the chicken till it’s done. The chicken is ready to go in the mincer.
Serve:- Either apply it on toast or make a sandwich with some leafy salad.
