MARGAO: Minister for Agriculture and Sports Ramesh Tawadkar said that he has arranged a programme on May 1, near mamlatdar’s office in Canacona, to brief on his service as minister for agriculture, sports, animal husbandry and veterinary services (AHVS) and tribal welfare during the last four years.
Addressing the media in presence of the directors of the respective departments, Tawadkar said that a booklet highlighting various works undertaken and how effectively he has worked for the people of Goa will be released on May 1 at the hands of the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.
Copies of the booklet will be distributed in all the constituencies.
“Except for Fatorda’s Nehru stadium all other stadiums are constructed during my tenure as Sports Minister. Braving the criticism, I marched ahead and continued with the development works. I encouraged the youth with lucrative incentives to take up the agriculture. During my tenure, a lot of loopholes in the AHVS were plugged. More than 21 schemes were formulated for the upliftment of the tribal people of the state,” he said elaborating his works.
