Alumni meet:

The Jesuit Provincial of Goa has invited all alumni of St Britto High School, Mapusa for an interaction over tea in the school hall on August 17 at 6.30 p.m. He will then address the alumni at 7 p.m.

Museum of Goa (MOG) in collaboration with Wag Tales.in is organising ‘Into the Forest’, a story telling session on August 18, 10 a.m. onwards for children in the age group of 3-7 years (Rs 400 per child, Rs 500 child + parent) followed by ‘Trash Talks’, an up cycled puppet making workshop from 1p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for children in the age group of 8 to 10 years. Festival of Plants and Flowers

Jackfruit, breadfruit (nirponnos), breadnut (pal ponnos) and graviola (path or kantte ponnos) will be the focus of the 27th Festival of Plants and Flowers at SFX School Complex, Siolim from August 18 to 20. A special workshop for framers will be held on August 19. Open to all.

 

Photo contest:

The prize distribution function of the state level photography contest by The Photo Journalists Association Goa (PJAG), will be held at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji on August 19 and 20 on the occasion of World Photography Day and PJAG annual function. Trekking expedition:

Konkani singing:

The finals of the Konkani Kantaram competition ‘Kantaramchem Daiz’ organised by Tiatr Academy of Goa will be held on August 18 at the conference hall of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

 

Yuva Pratibhotsav 2018:

The Directorate of Art and Culture will organise ‘Yuva Pratibhotsav 2018’ (Yuva Sangeet Sammelan) on August 18 (3.15 p.m. onwards) and 19 (9.30 a.m. onwards) at Black Box, Kala Academy, Panaji. Young performers in Indian classical music and dance from Goa and outside Goa are invited to perform.

 

Bonderam:

The traditional Malar Bonderam will be held on August 18 at Sao Matias Malar Divar, 3 p.m. onwards. It will include the traditional march, fancy dress junior and senior category, coconut breaking competition, live music and band etc.

 

Kids show:

Child’s Play India Foundation presents Wind-Up Penguin Theatre Company (UK) on August 18, 6 p.m. at Menezes Braganza Panaji, an evening of charming antics, acrobatics and a hilarious show that will leave you in splits!
