Tourism expo: The Goa Science Centre and Planetarium, Miramar in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Goa is organising a  tourism expo on the occasion of World Tourism Day from September 27 to 29.

 

Annual day: St. Michael’s Covent High School Vagator is organising a school annual day cum exhibition on September 27, 9.30 a.m. onwards. The theme is ‘Enchanting Vibration’. The exhibition will be open at 2.p.m and will remain on view till September 29. The school feast of the Patron St Michael will be celebrated on September 29 with a eucharistic celebration at 11 a.m. in the school hall.

 

Aswad: Gomant Vidya Niketan’s monthly Aswad programme will be held at the Fomento Amphitheatre on September 28, 6 p.m. Journalist Sitaram Tengse will speak on the book ‘India’s First Democratic Revolution: Dayanand Bandodkar and the Rise of Bahujan in Goa’ (2015).

 

College competition: VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics is organising the second edition of a national under-graduate student colloquium and competition ‘Niti-Samvaad-Ver.2.0 on September 28 and 29 at Ganesh Daivajna Auditorium at the college premises.

 

Trek to Chorla: Goa Tourism Development Corporation is organising a trek to Chorla Waterfalls on September 30. Transport arrangements have been made from Margao and Mapusa Residency at 7:30 a.m. and from Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panaji at 8.30 a.m. On the way pick up arrangements are available at Old Goa, Banasthari and Sankhali health centre. Celebrating Gandhi’s life: Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) will organise a special literary function to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti and to perpetuate the memory of the Father of Nation – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2, 4 p.m. at the Conference Hall of Tiatr Academy of Goa, Campal Trade Centre, Campal. The function will include citations of poetry, short stories, dialogues, statements, etc in Konkani related to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Marathi play: The four Ravindra Bhavan’s in the State are coming together to stage the Marathi drama ‘Ananya’ written and directed by Pratap Phad. The drama will be staged at  Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem on September 27, 8:30 p.m., Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on September 28, 9 p.m. and Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco on September 29, 8 p.m. The drama is free and passes for the same are available at the respective Ravindra Bhavans.
