GU revises fee structure for examinations

Panaji: The Goa University has revised the fee structure for examinations and other examination-related services for the academic year 2019-2020, with increase in the amount of fees for these examinations and such services. Fees for some exams and related services however remain unchanged.

The decision to revise this fee structure has been taken by the Academic Council of Goa University, during its meeting held recently.

The decision has been notified for the information of all principals of colleges/ heads of university departments and directors of recognised institutions.

A source at the university informed that there has been increase of Rs 50 in the fees related to the credit based undergraduate courses namely BA, BSc, BCom (general and honours), BCA, and BSc (Home Science). “The increase of Rs 50 will be for all appearances of these examinations, per credit,” the sources revealed.

The examination registration fees for professional/ non-professional undergraduate and post-graduate examination – for first/ subsequent appearances – is Rs 345, while examination fee per theory paper for undergraduate – non-professional courses (non CBCS programmes) is Rs 115 for first appearance at the first and the second year examinations, Rs 140 for first appearance at third year examination, Rs 210 for second and subsequent appearances at the first and the second year examinations, and Rs 295 for second and subsequent appearances at third year examination.

For undergraduate professional courses, the first appearance at MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS examinations will charge a fee of Rs 460, while the second and subsequent attempts at these exams will charge a fee of Rs 695.

For undergraduate professional credit based courses namely BE and BPharm, the exam fee is Rs 200, for all appearances, per credit.

As far as post graduation professional courses are concerned, examination for MD/ MS, MDS and Medical Diplomas charges a fee of Rs 1,155 for first appearance and Rs 1,740 for second and subsequent appearances. The examination for MPharm, ME, MPA, and LLM charges a fee of Rs 580 for first appearance and Rs 870 for second and subsequent appearances.

Furthermore, for credit based ME examination, Rs 120 will be charges for all appearances, per credit.

For evaluation of dissertation of MPhil the fee is Rs 1,500, while for evaluation of PhD thesis the fee will be Rs 3,000.

The convocation degree certificate for professional courses will cost Rs 1,390, while for the non-professional courses it will cost Rs 810.
