Google rolls out Incognito Mode in Google Maps

Google has launched a new feature that enables users to open Google Maps in incognito mode. This feature has already been offered by Google in the Chrome Browser, YouTube, etc. With incognito mode in Google maps, the search history would not be saved in one’s Google Account and in Google Maps. It also implies that numerous activities searched on Google maps or the directions won’t be saved. No notifications or search history will be seen in the incognito mode as well. This feature is being rolled out in stages and will reach android devices soon.

WhatsApp has rolled out a feature that enables unlocking of its app with fingerprint support on Android. The Touch ID and Face ID unlock features were already present in the iPhone and is now available in Android devices in order to add an extra security layer.

To enable this feature simply head to the WhatsApp Settings > Account > Privacy. You will spot a new option at the end of the list named ‘Fingerprint Lock’. Enable the option to allow the scan prompt to appear. After this is done, it will ask you several lock options such as immediately, after one minute or after 30 minutes.

According to reports by International Data Corporation (IDC), the worldwide tablet shipments for Q3 2019 have a marked growth with 37.6 million units shipped globally. Apple leads the pack with 11.8 million shipments in Q3 while Amazon.com stood second with 5.5 million shipments. Interestingly, compared to last year, around the same time, Apple was marked at 9.7 million shipments. The market share of apple is now 31.4 per cent while Amazon.com is standing with 14.5 per cent. Samsung took the third spot with 4.6million shipments while Huawei followed it with 3.6 million shipments. Samsung has a share of 12.3 per cent, which is less compared to its last year’s position with 14.6 per cent. The same is the case with Huawei, which sees a drop of 0.7 per cent as compared to the same time last year.

Vivo Z1 Pro smartphone has received a permanent price cut in India on all its variants. The 4GB/64GB model now costs `13,990; the 6GB/64GB model has received a cut of `2000, making its new price `14,990. Lastly, the 6GB/128GB edition costs `15,990. Backed by 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging, this device also features a fingerprint sensor for unlocking. Its network capabilities include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS and Micro USB. Vivo Z1 Pro is available in phantom black, midnight black and Aurora blue colours.

Realme has confirmed several phones that will receive the Android v10 updates. In the Q1 2020, Realme 3 Pro, 5 Pro, X, and XT will receive this update. Following these will be Realme X2 Pro, Realme 3, Realme 3i, Realme 5 and Realme X2 in Q2 2020. In the Q3 of 2020, Realme 2 Pro will receive the Android v10 updates. The exact dates of the updates will vary depending on regions, but Realme has assured that the devices mentioned above are sure to receive the v10 updates.
